The site had to have a photo gallery and pages to display videos for the making of the film and trailers. My client showed me other websites that were appealing. Personal Note About Mum's Taxi's Web Design
My client needed a web site that was original and completely different from any other. Once we had established that a Flash Website Design was the best approach to achieve this, we started to design the web site. The first draft had claws which came in and grabbed the pages, dragging them away and replacing them with different content upon changing the page. However my client asked to remove the claws, leaving the content to move in and out by itself. This was because the claws didn't quite fit the theme of the site, so I promptly removed them.
Once the design was perfected I created the pages for the content and layout out the pages. Two pages contained a total of 6 films of the project taking place and another with over 50 photos organised into a neat gallery. This has thumbnails so visitors can click on them to create a larger image for viewing.
This was a fun project to work on and although Flash Movie based websites are not ideal for publicity, it is still difficult not to be impressed with their capability to impress. This project was completed quickly, however my client did not feel that they could get the videos for the website to me with in the Free 3 Month Support Period which was offered to them at the time the Design Process took place, but we agreed that I would perform a Website Update as soon as they could get them to me.
