Web Site Design Project: Passionate Desire - Music Library Site Budget: £500, hosting free for displaying a large advertisement to my site, free domain name. Idea Of Site: My client had produced a vast amount of royalty free music which needed to be accessable to the world and be used for free, nearly a charity website. The site is not for profit, needed to be able to provide a download link and a music player for the music tracks displayed. A statistics page only accessible to admin was also needed, giving my client vital information. SEO Required: Yes, basic SEO implemented for free which had got the site found for a large range of keywords and phases all relating to music and electronic music. Site Content: Over 100 mp3 music tracks embedded to the site with a download link available. Each page has statistics and a rating system along with information about the track. Personal Note About Passionate Desire's Web Design
This was another fun project, there were a vast amount of music that had to be arranged and displayed. Each Track had to have its own rating system and download button so visitors could use the music in anyway they wanted. The website also has an embedded guestbook which acts like a wall where visitors to the web site can write on. The chat room is also another fun feature, allowing visitors the privilege to chat amongst them selves.
There are many hidden functions to my clients web site design. Which can all be controlled through the Back-End of the site. My client also wanted a statistics page that could only be viewed by the administrators of the web site, this has all the information about what visitors, what they viewed the most, where they are from, what time of day is the busiest period, how they found the site and much more. This gave my client the vital information about their target audience that they were looking for.
There is a second site to this main website, which hosts many free games playable online. This is a fun site and adds to the excitement of visting them. This site is easy to manage and of a vast size, it took some organising to make the project go smoothly. If my client had gone to another web designer for a quote. I fear the quote would have been thousands for a website design this size and with this amount of function!
